Free human-first daily planner
Find the signal. Finish what matters.
A simple five-minute planning method for noisy days. Choose what deserves attention across Projects, People, Process and Personal — then put the rest somewhere safe.

The problem
Your list is not your plan.
A task list can hold everything and still tell you nothing about what deserves attention. Messages arrive, meetings multiply, AI generates more options and good intentions compete with urgent noise. 4P Focus gives the day a visible boundary. Capture everything. Choose one signal. Pull only what fits. Finish, reflect and reset.

Why 4P Focus exists
Built for a busy mind in a noisy world.
My brain rarely struggles to generate ideas. The harder part is choosing which one deserves attention now. I first shared this approach through my work on self-management in Scrum. I have kept using and refining it across coaching, delivery, work and family life. 4P Focus is the method I use to get the noise out of my head, make deliberate choices and see real progress by the end of the day.
Familiar ideas, personal scale
Agile at the scale of one day.
Make work visible. Limit work in progress. Pull according to capacity. Focus on an outcome. Finish before starting more. Inspect and adapt. The ideas are familiar; 4P Focus makes them personal and practical.
In an AI-enabled workplace
AI can generate. Humans must still choose.
In an AI-enabled workplace, producing another list, draft or option is becoming cheap. Attention, judgement, courage, empathy and a clear "not now" become more valuable. 4P Focus keeps technology in its proper role: useful support around a human decision.
"Focusing is about saying no."

FAQ
Common questions
Do I have to add something to every P?
No. The four areas prompt a balanced decision; they are not a quota. Pull only what deserves today's limited capacity.
Is this another to-do list?
No. A to-do list stores work. 4P Focus forces a choice about today's signal and gives the remaining noise a safe place to wait.
Is it designed for ADHD?
It was shaped by Jon's experience of a busy, easily distracted mind and may feel useful to others with similar challenges. It is a planning and reflection tool, not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Will there be an app?
A simple web app is being explored. People downloading the planner can separately volunteer for early access.
